tiwiTM What It Is – What It Does.
tiwi is a combination of telematics hardware and programmable software that uses
GPS locator technology in combination with accelerometers and engine/vehicle data for real-time monitoring
of vehicle location and use. Data is communicated between the vehicle and home base
via cellular signal and is reported via the Internet and immediate text, e-mail or voice notifications. The dashboard unit delivers messages to the driver through
both visual and verbal prompts.
tiwi monitors everything from vehicle speed to hard acceleration, braking, hard
turns, seat belt use and more. It includes a GPS locator with a patented Speed by
Street™ database showing speed limits for every street, so it can help drivers avoid
speeding violations. When an out-of-bounds driving situation occurs, the red LCD
indicator lights up and a voice alerts the driver that he or she has 15 seconds to bring
the vehicle into compliance before a notice is sent back to the dispatcher at headquarters.
Speed and device sensitivity are programmable, so tiwi can be configured
to meet the specific needs and operating parameters of your fleet. tiwi includes
an alert notification in the event of power loss – so you will know if it gets turned
off for any reason or is unplugged or disabled.
Information is recorded and tracked by tiwi on our web-based portal, which includes
full trending and report analysis with graphs and charts, and a scoring dashboard
that lets you examine performance across the fleet and score individual drivers
as well.
It is a turnkey solution that does not require the installation of software or modification
of your existing IT system and will not affect the operation of your vehicle’s Electronic
Control Module (ECM).
