How The Fuel Proof GuaranteeSM Works:
The Fuel Proof Guarantee is available to any fleet with 20 or more model-year 2000 or newer vehicles for demo.
Following an industry-first statistically designed protocol, Valvoline will establish a fuel economy baseline with the trucks, drivers and routes
that you are currently running. We will either use your existing telematics or a tiwiPro™ in-vehicle unit
will be connected to the J1939 link in each vehicle for monitoring purposes. If you use tiwiPro™,
the voice-mentoring function will not be activated.
Once the baseline is established, an oil change will be performed, using
Valvoline’s Premium Blue® Extreme 5W-40, and the gear oil will be replaced with
Syn Gard™ FE 75W-90 gear oil. If tiwiPro™ is being used, voice-mentoring will be turned on. At that time, Valvoline
will consult with you to set the programmable parameters and will demonstrate how vehicle status reports can be monitored on the Internet.
The customer demonstration will then be run.
The Fuel Proof Guarantee requires periodic oil sampling and accurate record-keeping
of lubricant use (changes and top-offs) with the date and mileage recorded – and any
other operating factors (component failures, accidents, etc.) that could impact
the results.
If, at the end of the customer demonstration, you are not satisfied with
the mpg gains (at least 1.6% with Valvoline® products alone and up to 4% with Valvoline plus tiwiPro™) shown on your fleet vehicles, Valvoline will refund the incremental
costs of the oil changes and remove the equipment from your vehicles.
