How The Fuel Proof GuaranteeSM Works:
The Fuel Proof Guarantee is available to any fleet with 200 or more vehicles.
Following a protocol designed from the SAE J1321/TMC RP1102 Type II program, Valvoline
and tiwi will establish a fuel economy baseline with the trucks, drivers and routes
that you are currently running. The tiwi™ in-vehicle unit
will be connected to the J1939 link in each vehicle for monitoring purposes, but
the voice mentoring function will not be activated.
Once the baseline is established, an oil change will be performed using
Valvoline’s Premium Blue® Extreme 5W-40, gear oil will be replaced with
Syn Gard™ FE 75W-90 gear oil, and tiwi voice
mentoring will be turned on. At this time, the Valvoline and/or tiwi representatives
will consult with you to set the programmable parameters and will demonstrate how
the alert system works and how vehicle status reports can be monitored on the Internet.
The customer demonstration will then be run.
The Fuel Proof Guarantee requires periodic oil sampling and accurate record keeping
of lubricant use (changes and topoffs) with date and mileage recorded – and any
other operating factors (component failures, accidents, etc.) that could impact
the results.
If, at the end of the customer demonstration, you are not satisfied with
the mpg gains shown on your fleet vehicles, Valvoline and tiwi will refund the incremental
cost of the oil changes and remove the equipment from your vehicles.
